Maria Omondi
Maria Omondi is in her first season with the Columbia Cougars. Omondi just finished her four-year career with the Cougar volleyball program last fall. Omondi excelled on the court and in the classroom for the Cougars as she was chosen as the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American College Division Volleyball Player of the Year in 2009. Maria was a First Team NAIA All-American her senior year as well as the AMC Player of the Year and picked as the Columbia College female athlete of the year in 2009-10 by her peers.
A native of Nairobi, Kenya, Omondi plans to graduate in May of 2011 and go to medical school.
