Perla Hernandez signs letter of intent to play women’s soccer

Perla Hernandez signs letter of intent to play women’s soccer Columbia, Mo. - Columbia College women’s soccer coach John Klein officially announced that Columbia College has signed Perla Hernandez, a sophomore at Butler Community College, to a letter of intent to play soccer for the Lady Cougars beginning this fall.

Hernandez, a midfielder from Great Bend, Kan., had 11 goals and 12 assists in 2011 and led the NJCAA in assists as a freshman with 29. Perla was an all-conference, all-region and academic all-conference winner at Butler and helped lead her squad to their first ever national tournament where the Grizzlies placed fifth.

Hernandez enjoyed success in high school as well, notching 49 goals in her career as a four-time all-conference player.

“Perla is a skilled midfielder with tremendous vision and distribution ability,” stated Klein. “She will be a strong attacking contributor in our program.”
