Lady Cougars hold at No. 9 in latest Top 25

Columbia, Mo. – The Columbia Lady Cougar basketball team remained in the No. 9 position for the second straight week in the NAIA Top 25 Poll. Columbia is 9-1 on the season on pulled in 206 points.
Union (Tenn.) University (11-1) is in the top position in the women’s poll with eight of the 11 first place votes and 279 points. Saint Xavier (Ill.) University (10-0) moved into the No. 2 position with 274 points and three first place votes. Point Loma Nazarene (Calif.) University (6-1), Vanguard (Calif.) University (5-1) and Oklahoma Baptist University (8-1) round out the top five.
Columbia’s American Midwest Conference rival, McKendree (Ill.) University (9-3) is in the No. 17 position, while fellow AMC opponent William Woods (Mo.) University (10-0) moved from No. 23 to No. 22 this week.
The Lady Cougars are idle until the New Year when they along with the Cougars host the Cougars vs. Cancer Classic on January 1st and 2nd.
