Coordinator of Student Recreation and Intramurals
Shelby Schultes

schultesShelby S. Schultes has recently joined the Columbia College team as the Coordinator of Student Recreation and Intramurals. Schultes plans on giving the students more opportunity to participate not only in intramurals but also with various campus recreation events.

Prior to Columbia College Schultes worked at University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill as the Campus Recreation Intern, where she worked in a program that was comprised of over 45 annual intramural sports and several events that included over 16, 500 participants.

In 2004 she was an Assistant Teacher at Northwest Missouri State University where she not only taught but also developed and supervised co-recreational intramural programs. From 1999 to 2003 Schultes served as the Recreation Center Manager at Northwest Missouri State University.

Schultes attended Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri where she graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Corporate Wellness with a minor in General Business. She also received her Masters of Science in Education from Northwest Missouri State University.

Schultes received the University Scholars Award and was part of Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society. She is on the Graduate Advisory Council and is a member of NIRSA.

Schultes, born and raised in Anita, Iowa, now resides in Columbia.
