I. Eligibility
All
participants are subject to Campus Recreation Eligibility Rules,
which are outlined in the Campus Recreation Intramural Handbook.
Please Note:
Players may not participate in two or more teams in any division for
this sport
II. The Game,
Players, and Equipment
a. Teams
consist of 3 players, however, a team may start with a minimum of 2
players.
b. A maximum of
two substitutions.
c.
Substitutions may only enter after a made basket, time out or dead
ball.
d. Games are
self-officiated. Fouls are called by the participants.
e. A match
consists of best two-out-of-three games. The first two games are
played to 15 points win by 2, cap 17. The third and deciding game
shall be played straight to 11.
f. Basketball
will be provided. Teams may bring their own ball but both teams will
agree on a game ball.
g. Teams must
sign-in on the scorecard being held by the Intramural Supervisor on
duty.
III. Scoring
a. Baskets are
worth one point. Three pointers are worth two points. Team must win
by two points.
b. If the score
is tied at 13, then the first team to 15 wins.
IV. Possession
a. Losers outs
after made baskets.
b. Ball must be
cleared to the 3 point line on ALL possession changes.
c. Ball
possession to start a game will be determined by a coin toss or
paper, rock. scissors.
V. Fouls
a. No shooting
fouls or fouling out.
b. On a foul,
the ball is put into play at the top of the key.
VI. Time
a. 1 one minute
time-out per team/game.
b. Games start
on the hour and teams have 55 minutes to play the best
two-out-of-three games.
c. If game is
tied after 55 minutes first team to get a one basket lead, wins.
